Salary hike for drivers, conductors of Haryana Roadways

Chandigarh, Aug 31 (PTI) Haryana government today announced substantial salary hikes for drivers and conductors of State Roadways with effect from June 1, 2010.

An official spokesman said the revised salaries of Rs 10,000 for drivers and Rs 8,000 for conductors would be admissible for first three years as announced by the Chief Minister on June 1 this year.

Earlier, the drivers in the State Roadways department were getting Rs 4,236 and conductors were being paid Rs 3,976 per month for first four years, the spokesman said.

The arrears of revised salaries for the period June 1 to August 31, 2010 would be paid in September 2010, he added.
