Revision of Cash Handling Allowance to Cashiers

Regarding the revision of Cash Handling Allowance to cashiers working in Central Government departments, a clarification has been issued by Department of Personnel and Training that the allowances to be increased by 25% from the existing rates with effect from 1/1/2011, due to the Dearness allowance has crossed 50%. The Special Allowances also increased by 25%, like Split duty allowance, Washing allowance, Child care allowance and Cycle allowance etc.
