Additional Dearness allowance to Punjab Govt. Employees and Pensioners

Following the Central Staff and Pensioners, the Staff and Pensioners of the Punjab Government to get one more instalment of Dearness allowance effective from 1.7.2011. They celebrate a colorful Diwali with the sweet announcement of Dearness allowance. From the reliable sources, the Punjab Chief Minister has sanctioned an additional Dearness allowance of 7% from the existing rate. The arrears for the months of July, August, September and October will be deposited in their respective General Provident Fund(GPF) Accounts and from the month of November will be paid in cash.

The calculation method for additional instalment of Dearness allowance to Central Government employees, the State Governments also followed it. So without any difficulties, the State Governments are announcing the additional Dearness allowance to its employees to compensate the price hike. Some more State Governments not yet announced.
