Uttarakhand GovernmentUttarakhand announces 7% dearness allowance to its employees

Another, one of the state government of Uttarakhand has declared an additional dearness allowance of 7% to its employees from 1.1.2012. The enhancement of dearness allowance would be payable with retrospective effect from 1.1.2012 from the existing rate of 58% to 65%. The arrears of dearness allowance pay i.e.January 2012 to June 2012, will be credited in employee’s general provident fund(GPF) account. They will get the enhanced amount of dearness allowance in their regular salaries from the month of July.

The state Government of Uttarakhand chief minister announced that the minimum wages for employees will be enhanced to Rs.4500 per month.
