NFIR News – Clarification orders need for the reimbursement under the Children Education Scheme…

NFIR writes to Railway Board to issue necessary clarification orders regarding reimbursement of School Bag, Stationary items and Rain coats etc, under the scheme of Children Education Allowance.

Denial of reimbursement items compiled in the list is given below, which are all very essential for education…
(i) School Bag (carrying books and study material)
(ii) Stationary items e.g. Pens, Pencils, Tiffin Box, Water Bottles etc.,
(iii) Rain Coats, Socks, sports goods and sportswear.

The General Secretary of NFIR Shri.M.Raghavaiah said in the letter that the above all three items are integral part of education and study it would be necessary to include them for payment purpose. He also requested to the Railway Board to issue necessary instructions to all the Zones/Production Units for inclusion of above three items for re-imbursement of cost in the form of Children Education Allowance.
