Subject: Declaration of Holiday on 14th April, 2014 – Birthday of Dr.B.R. Ambedkar.

It has been decided to declare Monday, the 14th April 2014, as a Closed Holiday on account of the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, for all
Central Government Offices including Industrial Establishments throughout India.

2. The above holiday is also being notified in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of
1881).

3. All Ministries/Departments of Government of India may bring the above decision to the notice of all concerned.

Department of Personnel and Training has issued a correction order regarding the holidays for Central Government employees during the year 2013. The two corrections are made in the previous order which was published on 15.6.2012. The order is reproduced and given below for your information…

CORRIGENDUM

Subject : Holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices during the year 2013 — Corrigendum

In the list of holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices during the year 2013, which was circulated vide F.No.12/4/2012-JCA-2 dated 5th June, 2012, the following corrections are made :-

1) For the Festival of Holi (at S.No. 3 of Annexure-I), on 27th March, 2013, the Saka date may be read as ‘CHAITRA 06” instead of “PHALGUNA 06”

2) For The festival of Rath Yatra (at S. No. 19 of Annexure-II),on July 10, 2013, the Day may be read as “Wednesday” instead of “Thursday”

Subject: Rates of room charges of Holiday Homes and Touring Officers Hostel under Ministry of Urban Development – Revision thereof.

Reference is invited to Directorate of Estates O.M. of even No. dated 30th January 2012 on the above mentioned subject. In this connection it is stated that all visitors to holiday homes and touring officer’s hostel/guest house have to pay booking charges as per revised rates. The prospective visitors whose booking have already been confirmed are required to pay the different amount to the caretaker/concerned authority of holiday home and touring officer’s hostel/guest house at the time of check in. Further, the prospective applicants are advised that the demand draft towards booking charges for the period w.e.f.1st March 2012 may be sent as per revised charges otherwise their applications will not be entertained and rejected summarily.
