DA for State Government staff hiked
Bangalore: The State Government on Monday issued orders increasing the dearness allowance to its employees from the present 38 per cent as per the 2007 revised pay scales to 46 per cent with immediate effect. Over six lakh workers, including those full-time zilla panchayat and work-charged employees and those serving in the aided institutions and universities, will benefit from the DA raise.
According to the GO, the employees would get the three months’ arrears in cash from January and the April DA would be given to them in the May salary.
Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association president L. Byrappa thanked Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa for the gesture.
