Pen-down stir by employees from today
Warangal, Jan. 18: As part of state-wide protest for the fulfillment of their 11 demands, more than 28,000 government employees and members of Warangal unit of AP State JAC of Employees, Teachers and Workers will take part in the three-day pen-down strike starting Wednesday.
Paritala Subba Rao, chairman of Warangal Employees JACs said that all government employees would attend offices but would avoid work during these three days. “In all, 144 associations of gazetted officers and non-gazetted employees in the district will take part in the pen down,” said K. Ravinder Reddy, TNGO, Warangal president.
The employee association leaders said that their future course of action would be decided on January 24 based on the state government’s response to their pending demands.
