Engineering Counselling 2014: 2-Way Travel Concession for Students
The Ministry of Technical Education has announced a 2-way travel concession for students who have to travel to Chennai to attend the engineering college admission counselling sessions 2014.
In a press release from the Commissioner of Technical Education, it was announced that a 2-way 50% travel concession in bus charges would be given to outstation student (those not residing in Chennai district) and one person accompanying him/her to Anna University campus to attend the counselling session for admission to engineering colleges in the academic year 2014-15.
In order to avail of this facility, the student, travelling from outside of Chennai, has to submit a photocopy of the Counselling Call Letter to the concerned transport corporation authorities.
After receiving the photocopy, the transport corporation authorities will certify on the front part of the call letter that 50% travel concession is being given to the student, and issue the relevant 1+1 travel tickets.
The same procedure is valid for the return ticket too, at the end of the counselling session.
